I am completely awesome at seeing clouds shaped as things.
At least one bottle of cheap riesling later, and maybe a few more glasses of wine too. There is a story to this.
It started with me coming home from a good day of work. No sarcasm, really, it was a good day. I didn't make my sales goal or get the numbers I need, but sometimes just enjoying the company of my coworkers is enough. And I met a professional gamer! I told my boss he was one of my "peeps" so I had to take care of him. I was in that good of a mood. I have no idea why. That's only partially true. I might get into that, depending on how much more tempting drunk video games feels like as I keep typing.
As you may or may not be able to tell, I've been drinking. Coincidentally, me drinking alcohol is a lot like me drinking coffee. Drinking is always amazing when I'm already in a good mood. I try not to drink when down, but drinking when I'm incredibly high spirits just makes it even better. I may not feel that way in the morning (wine and the hangover it brings, WHATEVER), but I now have a coffee machine! Oh right, my story.
So it starts with me coming home from my awesome day at work, and I think I said that, but I get home and eat some dinner, make noises at my birds, and pour a glass of wine. I don't have to work tomorrow, a Saturday, that never happens so some type of alcohol is obviously in order. I don't have vodka, but wine works. Plus, financial aid finally got back to me and I actually feel like I'm moving forward. Granted, it's slight, but it feels amazing. It's my dad's birthday, so there is tons of good food sitting around just waiting for me to eat. My sister comes trouncing (yes, she trounces) down the stairs, and asks if I would like to traverse to Walmart. With nothing else to do on a Friday night, I of course day yes. And me, her, and Chuck, her bf, embark on a journey to Walmart. It was more of a drive, but journey is a much better word. We get to Walmart, where I'm already pretty tipsy (no, I didn't drive. That's one thing I'll never do -- drink and drive.) and that makes Walmart super awesome. I needed a coffee machine, so I got one. School is becoming real to me, and knowing my schedule I'll need coffee in the morning. A lot of coffee. So, instead of spending tons of money on iced coffee from wherever, I'll make my own. It took us a while, but after getting past the musical greeting cards, pillow fights, and video games, we obtained my coffee pot.
The video games part was pretty fun. Me and Chuck both on our consoles, but the jerk took the PS3 so I had to play the Xbox with only Lego Pirates and Lego Star Wars. Lego Pirates hated me, so I found out I was a completely badass lego jedi. The looks from random passerbys as I narrated my killing of lego blocks were priceless. Some people have no sense of humor. And yes, we really did have a pillow right in the middle of Walmart. Somewhere in there, we also came across a bottle of super cheap riesling so naturally I had to buy it.
After Walmart, we came home and drank the riesling pretty quick. Lucky for me, I always have a personal stash of alchohol somewhere. There was a plan to stay up to 3am and watch the old children's shows that come on at that time, like Gullah Gullah Island, Rugrats, Doug, some other shows, but none come on, so instead we decided to go outside and see if we could see the meteor shower. We took a sheet to the backyard and laid there, but as we found out quick -- mosquitoes suck and there were clouds in the sky. Instead of looking for meteors, we started pointing out clouds shapes. I guess I'm funny, because the two of them were laughing so hard they couldn't talk. Piggybanks with claws and squirrels doing crazy stuff seem pretty normal, but they could hardly breathe. And so ends my story. I actually got bored. Though, my friend is totally not getting on Skype to talk instead of using vent. Buttons are hard to push, but his loss. Singing random songs is more fun.

Date: 2011-08-13 09:14 pm (UTC)From:I am so jealous you have access to those shows. My boyfriend and i bought every single possible thing on our uverse and we did not get teen nick and i am not happy at all about this. I wanted to watch Doug and Ahh! Real Monsters and Rugrats... needless to say i'm very sour over this. (Hence why i convinced my friend from work that she is going to DVR a marathon worth of stuff so we can drink and feel like we are in the 90's again).
Piggybanks with claws makes me think of Toy Story and Hamm as Evil Doctor Porkchop ... it's amazing what a glass of riesling can do to you... usually happy things.

Ha, always happy things! LOL, I hadn't thought of that!

Date: 2011-08-14 11:52 am (UTC)From:I'm in the habit of doing the same when it comes to clouds. Not just when I'm tipsy. I find myself contemplating on too many an occasion. The horizon is a good place to be staring at :)

Date: 2011-08-14 10:53 pm (UTC)From:I'm not much of a donut eater, actually. That's so weird, because I normally love sugary stuff. When I do fancy a donut, that is where I get mine though. It is WAY better than Dunkin Donuts when it comes to making donuts.

Date: 2011-08-14 10:57 pm (UTC)From:Sister, Sister! That one I see come on during the day sometimes. That and Sabrina. The one I miss the most in Boy Meets World though. Eric in the later seasons is still one of the people I connect most with in a TV show.
