So a week or so ago, I put in apps to both sorting_elite and platform_934. I knew the one at platform_934 would drop yesterday, so I was really excited, but imagine my surprise when I see the other dropped this week as well. I was looking at my friend's page and saw my userpic. I was all "Oh hay, look! Someone has the same awesome userpic as me! .....Wait a second. That is me!" I'm not at my best this morning, haha. It was a nice surprise though, as I fully expected to wait at least another week.

I used to think I knew which house I wanted to be sorted in. Reading the books, I was so sure at first, but as I was filling both apps out I started realizing I don't know. Not which I want to be in or which I feel I should be in, so seeing the votes is very intriguing and a bit of a look at myself.

It is definitely a nice distraction from my Molecular homework every so often to refresh and see if anyone else has voted.

Not having an Midol in the house, not good. I want to crawl up in a little ball and sleep, but yay schoolwork.

The last time I work with my boss is tonight. I don't think I'll cry, but I'm going in for the party we're throwing tomorrow right after class and I will. It is going to be a bit of a reunion too -- a lot of the people that have quit over my two years there are going to be there. I don't know if it has quite hit me yet, that this is really it.

And completely different not exactly happy but not super depressing either, I don't like my Theology class. It is 101 and I have to take it. The three other people that sit at the table with me are awesome, and all science students too. Funny coincidence, there. Well, the teacher is a hardcore Catholic, maybe even a minister. And there isn't anything wrong with that. I have nothing but the utmost respect for people that believe in something so strongly. What I do have a problem with is that instead of teach he seems more inclined to attempt to convert the whole class to his religion. He isn't mean about it, but, for example yesterday, he started going on this rant about how global warming is a complete crock and the people that put that idea forward are just out for money. The two girls sitting across from me just kept exchanging looks and head shakes. There is a claim of logic in all of it, but I don't follow it. I sit there more often than not just trying not to grit my teeth together.

I think teachers should lol UM teach. we didnt ask for your opinion on something unrelated. well i suppose global warming can relate however, i bet it's not in the required criteria. I just wish they would stick with that.

I had a english prof who was like that and she had a huge mole. I took all my aggression out by calling her Mrs. Molay... kind of mean i know but, when she assigned obnoxiously long homework assignments and graded like a hard ass. it just made me feel a slight bit better. ok? lol DONT judge :D

It wasn't too bad. We couldn't shake the underlying sadness, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

I know right! Everyone can have whatever opinion they want, but he starts the rant and won't even actually take into consideration when people bring up other points. It seems like it isn't even worth the effort of saying anything.

Hahahaha, that's awesome. We had names for some of my teachers in high school, but they were super mean so I won't post them, but it really helps when they did something awful. I'd just think the name, and at least I was laughing on the inside lol

Sucks about your Theology teacher. It's the sort of subject I've always want to do, but it seems like it needs to be taught by a more balanced person (at least one that can be on the fence for teaching purposes). I'm guessing theology is about learning different ways of interpreting different religions? Quite hard if your teacher is too opininated! Gets people debating though. :)

I loved when I took Comparative Religions, because you really get a look at all the different major religons in a class like that.

I was under the impression Theology would be looking at all the the religions, especially 101 but that isn't the case there, we just look at the Christian religion and almost entirely the Catholic view. It is nice seeing the view, because I didn't grow up Catholic but I just want to scream at some of the things that are said in that class.

I've already learned to not waste my breathing arguing in there, haha. He answers with nothing but respect to the question, but I don't follow the logic behind most of it.

Still sounds really interesting though :) We learnt about general Christianity at school! Which when I grew up, seemed a little ridiculous as there are so many different churches within it! And then there is also the fact that most people just believe, and don't even classify themselves as this or that within it.

In England a bit of religious education was compulsory and people complained so much :( And even though I;m not religious, I found it so interesting because it forms such a large chunk of human history. And even from a shallow point of view- it has give the world some of the most beautiful buildings! :)

There are tons of different types. I can't even keep them straight and I couldn't tell you the difference between any of them, haha. I went to a Lutheran middle school/preschool for 12 years, and I left there pretty tired of religion in general, but since it's been years since then I don't mind as much now. It definitely brings back some memories, hearing some of the stores again.

That is pretty much how I am now. I don't really classify myself as anything, partially because of a slight fall-out with the church I grew up in and the close-mindedness of all of it, but I don't think I could've left there without believing in something.

Oh yes! I love cathedrals and even some of the smaller churches around here are absolutely beautiful. I do like going to sit in the church that is on campus.

I'm not very religious, but I like the quiet, calm atmosphere of the place.
