Staying at work an hour longer than expected when you have something you're incredibly excited for waiting at home is complete torture. It's even worse when you stand there for an hour, just wishing customers would come in and have the first one that does yell and scream at you, like every problem they've ever had in life is your fault. Juggling not laughing out loud at said person and the urge to punch them right in the face is great though. She, of course, ended up leaving with a smile on her face as she got a pair of glasses completely free. That wasn't my call though. I was tempted to tell her to just take the exam for free and get out, but alas, I'm not allowed to kick people out of the store.
The day got much better after that though. People came running in so the day went by much faster, and I got my exam done for my free pair of glasses this year. Even doc loved them, and he is one of those people that will tell you if you pick out a terrible pair. Not sure what iron lines on one's eyes are though, so I'll have to look that up. I already knew I have a scar on my right eye, so that was nothing new. I did end up staying an hour later, just because I couldn't leave my boss all by herself on a Saturday. I wanted to, but I couldn't bring myself to actually do it.
As to why I was excited, I bought a new computer. Mine pretty much died yesterday, and it was about time for a new one. I won't bore anyone with the technical details, since most of my friends list don't really care about those. We'll just say it is a huge upgrade to what I had before and is completely redone. My last one wasn't all that bad -- it played most games out there at the low settings but no longer do I have to. Now I'm just waiting for everything to install.
