Warning: Drunken WoW rant. Feel free to ignore.

Note to self: Don't PuG raids in WoW.

I mean, you'd think 25 people would be able to handle Onyxia, right? Maybe I've just lived a charmed WoW life in never having to PuG anything, but my bleeding heart went out to those people in trade channel saying they just needed one more to do Ony. So in my drunken haze and because hey, Ony is drops a totally awesome mount and the helm would be nice for my totally awesome alt that only gets played when I'm drunk. That, and I was bored of Final Fantasy XIII/heroics and trying to avoid an alt run of ICC, so I said to myself -- why not? Now I'm left wondering, do people reach 80 and really know nothing about the class they play? I suppose after three days of attempts on Lich King 25m, the ability of an average PuGGer shouldn't surprise me, since raiders are making mistakes on simple mechanics.

The Lich King fight? Yeah, incredible disappointment. Maybe it's the, oh, 6 days of attempts put in between 10 and 25m, but the fight is just not fun. Hard yes, fun, no. Archimode, now that fight, I could wipe on for hours and still love it. Granted, that was more luck than anything else. Firefighter, Kael, and Illidan, those were fun too. Okay well, Illidan was mostly for the warglaives for me. Arthas can go jump off a really big cliff though, or that platform you fight him on, whichever works. Maybe it's just our bad luck in getting people that have no idea what they're doing chosen for shit that can wipe a raid, but we've regressed. Even in 10m. 10m! People geared for a 25m raid can't even get the guy to phase 3, or is it 4? Who knows. We should be getting him down pretty far atleast, if not killing him. Point of all this is I liked the final bosses of Burning Crusade much more than any of the Lich King ones.

Completely different note, Final Fantasy XIII is really pretty. I'll reserve judgment on it until I get farther, but so far, it seems pretty good.

It's definitely one of the prettiest games I've played. So far I'd say it's lived up to the hype, at least for me. A friend of mine can't stand the battle system, but I love it. The story is confusing at first, but it starts making more and more sense as you go along.

I'm definitely liking the whole game more and more as I go along. With most other Final Fantasy games, I have to force myself to the end. Final Fantasy XII especially, there was certain point in that one that I could just never bring myself to get past, which was a shame because I really liked it. This one I actually don't want to stop playing.
