I like grocery shopping. Yes, I'm posting about grocery shopping. I really do though. Most of my friends dread that trudge to the grocery store. "NOOOOO, I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow!" is one of the common utterances at work when we've run out of interesting topics. You know we're beyond bored when we start reciting our grocery lists to each other.
When I was younger, my mom would always do all the shopping and would never get any of the food I wanted to eat. It was, of course, all very unhealthy junk food, but I was young, how did I know any better? That may explain why I enjoy grocery shopping so much, that I'm the person who decides what food to buy. The first time I did my own grocery shopping I did buy all of those things she wouldn't -- tons of candy, chips, pop, ice cream, etc etc, out of rebellion and loved every second of eating all of it. That was, until I ended up throwing the majority of it up because I had eaten too much. Lesson learned. My eating habits have definitely improved since then, I'm happy to report.
So, all of this time my transcripts weren't even at the university, despite them having told me they received them. That explains still not having heard from them, but really? I don't know where the transcripts got lost to even complain.
I finally watched The Human Experience today. It was powerful. For those not familiar with it, it is a documentary that follows two brothers as they travel throughout the world and attempt to see the world through other people's eyes. They live a week on the streets of New York, for instance, to experience what life is like for homeless people. It was quite touching at times and really just makes me feel happy being alive. I have such a desire to go to Africa after watching it as well. One day.

I swear they're always losing things/misplacing/screwing up everything and then nobody knows anything about anyone else's job so it's impossible to resolve anything without visiting 50 different offices and people. :(
