9 loves! This is much longer than I thought it would end up being. I wasn't procrastinating or anything, nope.

1. Video games, obviously. I've been gaming since I was a little kid. My earliest memories are of my dad playing Wolfenstein and I haven't stopped since then. There are very, very few days I go without playing some type of game. I started with FPS, then I played RPGs almost exclusively, and now I play everything. I even got over my fear of playing online with people and play on PSN pretty often.

This is what my first video games looked like:

This is what one of my favorites of right now looks like:

2. Dancing. Not professionally, because I think I'm pretty awful at dancing, but just for fun. I never used to dance.

Actually, I have a story for this. I remember the first dance I ever went to back in middle school. I was at a really small private school (8 kids graduated 8th grade with me.) so we all knew each other. Well, I went to this dance partly because I knew the guy I had a crush on at the time would be there. And he was. There was a problem though, he was dancing with some other girl! My little 13-year-old heart was broken and as I stood there, against the gym wall watching them, something clicked in me. Once that slow song was over I thought to myself 'FUCK IT' and went straight out there and danced my ass off for the rest of the night.

And I've danced ever since then. If I'm upset, bored, or stressed I get my phone, throw Pandora on Kesha and just dance. Nothing ever seems quite so bad after that.

There is also this yoga that Shiva Rea does called Trance Dance Yoga where you just move without thinking. It isn't really yoga at all, but it is one of the most freeing things I've ever done. I want to go to that workshop in person one day.

3. Doctor Who. I'll be honest and say that I wasn't a huge fan before 11. I watched the seasons with 9/10 and Rose, a little of Martha, and they were okay. I liked them well enough. Then, on a whim, I watch the first episode with 11 and I was hooked, completely. I look forward to it every week and I am one of those people that hardly ever watches shows on the day they air, but I have to with Doctor Who.

4. Brandon Flowers/The Killers. I'm not picky with what music I listen to, but I am picky when it comes to what artists/band I love. Brandon Flowers is one. I adore the entire band. What I like about Brandon Flowers on his own and also with the Killers is that almost every single song tells a story, and each story is different.

I had a dream that I was falling, down
There's no next time around
A storm wastes its water on me
But my life was free

I guess it's the world that we live in
It's not too late for that
This is the world that we live in
And no, we can't go back

5. Keane. Keane also deserves special mention, and like the Killers, I adore Keane because their music tells these stories. Often times sad, but always beautiful.

Say, what's that you say?
Time to move on
And you're in the way
Let's get to the end
And not turn around
She built you up so she could knock you down

It's time to draw the line
To draw the fire
Why'd you never know?
It's time to let go
It's time to move aside
To let it slide

Friend, there's nothing there
You're clinging on to air
You're reaching back
To something that
You never had

6. Alcohol. I really do love booze. Vodka and riesling, mostly. I learned a while ago not to drink when I'm depressed or upset though. I know exactly what it can do it people if abused, so while I do like drinking as often as possible it is always done as an end to a good day. And I love every minute of being drunk. It is when I wake up in the morning that the hurt starts. And not just because of a hangover. I'll lay there in bed, thinking what I did while drunk, mostly who I talked to and what I said. And only once has it gotten me in trouble and I ruined a 5 year friendship because of it, but I also found a freedom that I had so desperately needed for about 4 years.

7. My birds, all three of them. My macaw is a huge jerk but he likes watching me play video games as much as I love playing them. My parakeets, at least one of them, will start dancing around on his perch when I start dancing around.

8. Chips and salsa. My favorite food! I could eat it everyday of the week.

9. Nature. I like being outside, or at least near a window when I have to be inside. I also need open places, like my room for instance. It is small, but I have two huge windows so the sunlight pours in.

Hehe, I may have to find it some time :) I want to try out Heavy Rain too, but I don't think I'm brave enough :D
The LEGO games are always fun :) I do have difficulty with them on such a small screen though, the characters move about as fast as they do on the PS2/3 versions and it's a bit of a headfudge. But I am enjoying them. And if it weren't for LEGO, me and my brother never would have found a way into the Star Wars fandom.
I do like LEGO Batman more then most of the others I think, but it is something I've been into since kidhood, so maybe that's why :D
Even my mum likes watching us play the LEGO games; usually she dislikes watching anybody play anything, and wanders off to do other things.

I liked Heavy Rain a lot. There are some nice twists in there and some pretty intense parts. I wonder how it would be with a move though, because I think I wanted to throw my controller across the room playing that game more than any others. It really did feel like an interactive movie though, and I did end up attached to some of the characters.

It would tell me to move the controller up and down, and I would, but it would be all NO THAT'S WRONG.

My sister plays a lot of the lego games and she loves the Batman one as well. :D I've only played Lego Pirates and Lego Star Wars very briefly in Walmart.

We were playing LEGO pirates in Brum HMV the other day. It is a good game, and I think it kick started me into buying LEGO HP Y1-4 later in the week (You can never have too much LEGO!)

That sounds awesome. I think at heart I'm a bit of a baby though, I do struggle with the more realistic games sometimes. I don't know why, I used to play Tomb raider and not mind too much if Lara ended up as Tiger food (Because I wouldn't shoot the Tigers, just try and move around them where possible :D)

I'm more RPG/puzzle/platform/retro in my likes (Though I aspire to play more)

Perhaps I'm just getting old :D
