I love how stressed out I was earlier today. I was all, OMG OMG I'm going to go home and just study all day! Yeaaaah, let's just say I haven't done any and I don't feel guilty. Actually, I feel quite content right now. I have a bottle of wine (OKAY MORE THAN A BOTTLE LOL), just finished watching the Lion King, and getting ready to watch some more Supernatural.

Here I was, thinking my Botany midterm was going to be crazy hard and on the same day as two other midterms. I wasn't really freaking out as opposed to whining about how work I had to do instead of doing fun stuff, like watching more Supernatural or actually PLAYING some video games. You know, I haven't touched any in weeks. WEEKS. This coming from a person that once had to play something at least once a day. Then today, he says it's going to be open book, open notes. Talk about relief. I was going to finish my lab report today, and I'll definitely do it before work tomorrow but right now I just want to sit and not think about anything except how awesome I feel right now.

I already started studying for the other, so yeah, I can not worry for tonight and bask in the prettiness and slight creepiness that is Supernatural.

So good news, I'm not as worried and/or annoyed at my choice of major. I wouldn't have chosen Biology just for the hell of it. Well, okay, I would, but I didn't. I may not enjoy the lecture or even the school system in general here because I don't learn by lecture, but I think my reaction to our newest lab just solidifies WHY I'm a Biology major. We're cloning bacteria and I'm super excited over it, and some of the Bio students that have already done super awesome stuff are saying something along the lines of "eh" but I really think it's cool. I may fall asleep during lecture, but you give me a lab and you tell me the significance and I'm happy as a clam.

Oh, and I mentioned my apps at both hogwartsishome and hogwarts_elite, but I didn't mention being sorted. So, I'm Gryffindor in both. I'm glad for that, I honestly had no idea what to expect at either and to find out them I'm overwhelming Gryffindor. If I recall correctly and I probably don't be because I'm drunk lol, but I remember saying I didn't know which house I'd get and that was true. I really didn't. I think the only one I knew I wouldn't be is Hufflepuff, so it was a toss-up for the other three in my mind. It was overwhelming Gryffindor at both, so that definitely says something about me. Secondary house, I don't know. One said Slytherin the other, Ravenclaw, so I'm torn there. But I'm a Gryffindor! And it fits well. I've never thought of myself as particularly brave, but I also don't think I'm a coward. The more I learn, the more it fits though. I'm also having some fun, so that' nice.

I know the people that don't read Harry Potter are all "WHUT!?!?". I grew up with Harry Potter, so it's nice to actually get sort of involved in the fandom. So, anyone looking for someplace to have fun on LJ at, I'd totally recommend either. I've been looking for communities to get involved in, and even though I'm not the biggest Harry Potter fan, I've still found a place in both.

And ugh, I just went on an epic search for my parakeet. He loves flying out of his cage and going into random places and watch me spend an hour trying to find him again. I had to go under my bed. Do you know what type of stuff is there? Not good stuff, we'll leave it at that. And doing this while heavily intoxicated, yeah, not good.

OMG, I am totally drinking too! I don't do that aaaall that often but today was heeeeell, so I've settled for vodka tonight. Only two drinks and I'm pretty tipsy bordering on d-r-u-n-k. Anyway, I actually wanted to comment on your HiH sorting: I was so similar! I had no idea what house I'd be sorted into; I'm more reckless than brave, but I seem to get Gryffindor a lot in quizzes, but I love to learn and I'm awesomely loyal and just to the point of RIGHTEOUS. So the only house I knew I wouldn't be sorted into was Slytherin.

So apart from that minor detail, WE IZ LIKE TWO PEAS IN A POD. ;D

Oh cool! Cloning bacteria?!? That's pretty awesome! So are you doing that now? or is it one of the coming labs? You gotta describe that process when you do eventually do it, that sounds pretty darn neat!

We're starting on Tuesday hopefully. I don't know the details yet, just that it is quite an involved process and one I'm definitely looking forward. I totally will!

Did you get an account on Pottermore? My memory fails and I do apologize if I've asked you already. I got sorted into Slytherin - HA! And then my friend gave me another account (as a gift) and I got Hufflepuff ♥ That's where I belong.

I wish I had grown up with Harry Potter. I didn't discover it till Dec 2002 - can you imagine?! I think I healed a lot while reading the series and able to relate to a lot of the character. I love how this series has bonded so many people together :D

Yeah, I grew up with it but I really didn't get involved in the fandom at all and I kind of regret that. I'm there now though, so it's all good. :D

I was sorted into Gryffindor at HiH even though I know I'm actually a Hufflepuff. I don't put too much stock into online sortings that ~decide~ which you are, because you do get a very small slice of a person in them, even if that person has elaborated the fuck out of their app. I've seen lots of mis-sorts. But Gryffindor is a ton of fun (when I remember to pop in--I've been so busy DX) so I'm enjoying it.

Yeah, I definitely agree it isn't the be all end all of which house a person should be. It's pretty fun to see what other people think though! I've been having a lot of fun there, there seems to always be something to do in one of the communites.
